Spring Is Officially Here!

Aloha my dear friends of Celtic Music Night at St. Andrew!

I’m writing you this email message-in-a-bottle all the way from the tropical island of Maui, after a brilliant time performing for the Scottish festival in Waikiki with Rebecca Lomnicky, to announce the great musical happenings coming up soon on the Mainland! That’s right folks, Celtic Music Night in Aptos is BACK, next Tuesday for the Spring Series at St Andrew Church! Read on for a few exciting announcements…

Tuesday April 28thth :: 7pm David Sibbald, all the way from Scotland will perform!
featuring masterful recitations of poems by Robert Burns (Scotland’s national poet), with musical accompaniment by Scottish balladeer Peter Daldry, and instru-mentalist David Brewer! — This promises to be an outstanding night of Scottish culture that you really must attend… Once the president of the Burns Society of Scotland, David Sibbald’s readings are captivating and unrivaled… Peter Daldry’s new album the Sands Of Life will also be available, just released, featuring wonderful traditional Scottish songs, with instrumentals by David Brewer & Scottish fiddle champion Rebecca Lomnicky.

And, as promised, the very first CD release concert of the tour, celebrating the kick off of the new duo name, and the anticipated album itself, “The Fire”, will be featured for this special concert at Celtic Music Night:

The long awaited duo album from Internationally acclaimed fiddler Rebecca Lomnicky, and multi-instrumentalist David Brewer will finally be here! Featuring epic suites with fiddle amid a pipe band, down to delicate strathspeys with fiddle and guitar, to slow airs that will set your senses a-tingle with intrigue… THE FIRE will light your imagination!

As is tradition, each of these fun-filled evenings at Celtic Music Night include a bagpipe procession, concert of music by a featured special guest artist, Q&A with the group, complimentary refreshments, and an open Celtic music jam session with the players afterward, so bring your instruments, questions, and good vibes– and ALL of this is ALL ages, and ALL for a nominal donation of any size at the door.
