Trick or Treat!! Oh well, while that was all last night for what was hopefully a great Halloween for you, come knocking at the door of St Andrew Church this coming Tuesday night, and you’ll be TREATED to a whole lot of great Celtic music and culture!!! And EVERY Tuesday through November — That’s right, folks,

Your roaming piper is back, with a really fantastic Fall Series of Celtic Music Night at St Andrew, just to treat you! Read on…

Celtic Music Night at St Andrew, returns to Aptos this month for the Fall Series! Featured guest concerts, with open Celtic music jams…

THIS  Tuesday, November 7th at 7pm — The Scots Invasion! 

Featuring: David Sibbald,  visiting all the way from Scotland– past president of the Burns Society, and master orator of the works of Robert Burns (Scotland’s national poet & author of Auld Lang Syne), with the music of native Scot, Peter Daldry, singer, song-writer, guitarist– a true Scottish  balladeer , accompanied by David Brewer of The Fire & Molly’s Revenge, on tin-whistles, bodhran frame-drum, and bagpipes.

Featuring:

Tuesday November 7th, 7PM — Robert Burns scholar & master orator David Sibbald from Scotland, with the music of balladeer Peter Daldry of Glasgow, & David Brewer. 

Tuesday November 14th, 7PM — David Brewer, bagpipe and whistle teacher from CMS camps, and performer with The Fire, & Molly’s Revenge, presenting a solo concert.

Tuesday November 21st, 7PM — The Community School of Santa Cruz Teen Band — Celtic and World folk ensemble.

Tuesday November 28th, 7PM — The Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers — Scottish fiddle orchestra featuring US National Scottish Fiddle Champion Colyn Fischer, & pianist Shauna Pickett-Gordon.

Celtic Music Night is a donation based series, and as is tradition, each of these fun-filled evenings  include a bagpipe procession, concert of  music  by a featured special guest artist, Q&A with the group, complimentary refreshments, and an open  Celtic music  jam session with the players afterward, and is open to ALL ages.

Starts at 7PM, and held in the Sanctuary of St Andrew Presbyterian Church of Aptos, 9850 Monroe Ave. Aptos, CA

Celtic Music Night is a FREE event, run by donations of any amount at the door if possible to help it continue– just contribute what you can that makes sense for you, and your support is greatly appreciated in keeping folk tradition going. CDs and recordings of the artists are also available for purchase.

As is tradition, each of these fun-filled evenings at Celtic Music Night  include a bagpipe procession, concert of music by a featured special guest artist, Q&A with the group, complimentary refreshments, and an open Celtic music  jam session with the players afterward, so bring your instruments, questions, and good vibes– and ALL of this is ALL ages, and ALL for a nominal donation of any size at the door. Come celebrate with me and the wonderful folks of St Andrew, as we honor the life’s work of Scotland’s patron Saint, with a nod to Scottish heritage. 

10:15AM bagpipes in the courtyard, 10:30AM Church Service with Kirking o’ the Tartans, 12PM Refreshments and Celtic entertainment in fellowship hall.
