Happy Thanksgiving week to all of you, friends of Celtic Music Night at St Andrew!

I hope you have all been well since the last Music Night, which now seems ages ago… But whatever the state of affairs in your world, take a moment, be thankful, and come enjoy some Celtic Music this week! (…before the mayhem in kitchen, around the house, or on the road ensues later this week….)

First of all, thanks so much to everyone who came out to the St Andrew Day celebrations last weekend at St. Andrew Church! It was a wonderful day, and all the clans be blessed!
Now to the musical happening of the week, as promised, The Winter Series of Celtic Music Night at St Andrew comes to a crescendo This Tuesday night in Aptos– I sure hope you can come enjoy!!! Spread the word…. TOMORROW NIGHT!!


THIS Tuesday November 24th, at 7pm (TOMORROW NIGHT)–featuring:
David Brewer (piper, Celtic multi-instrumentalist from Molly’s Revenge, and The Fire) — Performing traditional and modern tunes with various bagpipes, penny-whistles, and more.. “David Brewer is a multi-instrumentalist who has toured with the Scottish super-group The Old Blind Dogs, Molly’s Revenge, & The Fire Scottish bands across the US, the UK, Canada, China, and Australia. He has been a special guest of the six-time Grammy winning group The Chieftains, and was a key musician for the sound track of the PBS documentary, “Andrew Jackson, Good, Evil, and the Presidency”. David, who is known for being animated and engaging on stage, compliments Rebecca’s award winning fiddling with guitar, Irish penny-whistle, and bodhran frame-drum, but primarily the Scottish bagpipes, on which he is unarguably one of the most energetic and charismatic performers of the instrument in the world today. For more about David, please visit: www.davidbrewermusic.com”

Yes folks, the moment you’ve been waiting for, the Winter Series has been announced! Here it is, so  mark you calendars for these future Tuesday nights….
November 24 — David Brewer — a night of Celtic multi-instrumentalismness including (but not limited TWO) bagpipes and whistles…
December 1 — Erik Leiken — professional highland bagpiper featuring a program of traditional and modern piobaireachd (Scotland’s classical pipe music)..
December 8 — Charmas — local Irish music band with traditional songs and dance tunes a’plenty.. &, the grande finale…
December 15 — The Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers — the return of a favorite; the bay area’s epic Scottish fiddle orchestra!

Come be a part of it! Mark your calendars now! Spread the word! Grab your friends, family, neighbors, and instruments and Check it out at St Andrew Church: 9850 Monroe Ave. Aptos, CA — TOMORROW NIGHT, and every Tuesday for the next four weeks at 7pm!

Celtic Music Night is a FREE event, run by donations of any amount at the door if possible to help it continue– just contribute what you can that makes sense for you, and your support is greatly appreciated in keeping folk tradition going. CDs and recordings of the artists are also available for purchase.

As is tradition, each of these fun-filled evenings at Celtic Music Night include a bagpipe procession, concert of music by a featured special guest artist, Q&A with the group, complimentary refreshments, and an open Celtic music jam session with the players afterward, so bring your instruments, questions, and good vibes– and ALL of this is ALL ages, and ALL for a nominal donation of any size at the door. So grab your friends, family, instruments, and head out to Aptos for a good time the way nature intended!

Mark you calendars! Also, the extremely popular show, Winterdance, is returning to Felton on December 3rd at Don Quixote’s International Music Hall!
