End of Summer Extravaganza!

Summer salutations to you all, my Celtic music-loving friends and family on Santa Cruz!
It has been a very VERY busy touring schedule around the western states this summer with Molly’s Revenge & Rebecca Lomnicky, and boy do I have some tails to tell…
but as fun and amazing as these travels have been, one thing is certain, I MISS CELTIC MUSIC NIGHT, and all of you, the wonderful people who make it amazing! Luckily though, the time has come…. that’s right folks — Celtic Music returns to Aptos THIS WEEK!!!

TOMORROW! TUESDAY August 28th, 7PM, Peat-Fire Flame!!!
featuring National Scottish Fiddle Champion, Colyn Fischer, &
pianist Shauna Picket Gordon, with fiddlers from the Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers ensemble!!!
Celebrating the release of a new album….
This is sure to be an amazing evening of music; I know so because they have performed for our Celtic Music Night a couple of times in the past, and each performance was rousing and captivatingly enjoyable! For a sneak preview, you can see video and clips on their website:

But trust me, you want to be there in person! 😉

And remember, it’s a free event (donations accepted/cds for sale), it’s open to all ages, questions are encouraged, AND we’ll have an open Celtic music jam session following the performance, so round up your family, friends, instruments, and good vibes, & come on down for rocking good night!

Celtic Music Night at Saint Andrew Church WILL be held on the following Tuesdays:

August 28, 7pm, SUMMER FINALE with Peat-Fire Flame! Scottish Fiddle & Piano duo featuring National Scottish fiddle Champion, Colyn Fischer, and amazing pianist, Shauna Picket-Gordon, with special guests!!! Also celebrating the release of a new album! Mark your calendars now!!!

Also on Tuesday, September 4th, 7pm Open Celtic Music Night jam session and far-well party for mua, David Brewer, before I again make the journey across the country back to the east coast. Hope you can make it for a wee chat and some tunes; it would be lovely to see you all!

And be sure to make it out to the Pleasanton Scottish Games, at the Alameda fairgrounds this weekend, September 1 & 2— the largest Scottish festival in the West! I’ll be there rocking the Argyle Stage with my friends from Molly’s Revenge, Peter Daldry, and Tempest! www.mollysrevenge.com It’s the last concert for me on the west coast until the holiday season… so don’t miss out on a fun filled weekend! It’s worth the drive 😉

Info on more Celtic happenings can of course be found at http://www.celticsociety.org/  and http://www.lochlomondceltic.org/ so keep your eyes peeled!
Thank you all so much for keeping things flourishing with your support of our awesome Celtic music community!
I’ll see you all TOMORROW NIGHT!!!! 🙂
Cheers for now,
David Brewer
