Let The FIRE-works Begin!

Greetings all you wonderful friends of Celtic Music! Happy 4th of July to you! I hope you get a wonderful dose of patriotic celebration with friends and family!
And well, THIS Tuesday in Aptos, we will be having “FIRE-works” of our own, as Celtic Music Night is on for THIS Tuesday night! Read on….
But first, I cannot thank you all enough for your very thoughtful words & prayers, and generous support in the wake of the terrible incident which occurred at the beginning of this month. Rebecca Lomnicky and I were in a very serious car crashed in which we were struck head-on at high speed by a drunk driver. If you haven’t heard more than that and would like to know more, this link was created to support us in the recovery:   https://www.gofundme.com/28k62a5w
Things are improving and on the mend, thanks to a lot of positive energy from our wonderful music community, and that’s where I want to keep the focus, so this Celtic Music Night on Tuesday night will indeed be a celebration of wellness and good times through good music– I would love to see you there!
And now, as promised, Celtic   Music   Night has an exciting feature–let the “FIRE-works” begin, THIS TUESDAY NIGHT:
Tuesday July 5th, 7pm, The Fire — Traditional Scottish Music featuring Glenfiddich fiddle Champion of Scotland, Rebecca Lomnicky, with David Brewer of Molly’s Revenge, and newly added band member, Adam Hendey, on guitar and bazouki!
The Fire is a high energy pure-drop Scottish music band, with world class fiddling in combination with bagpipes, guitar, bodhran, whistle, and bouzouki. The group includes, International Scottish Fiddle Champion Rebecca Lomnicky, multi-instrumentalist David Brewer of the popular Celtic band Molly’s Revenge, and Adam Hendey on guitar and bouzouki. Members of the trio have each spent copious amounts of time delving into the traditions of their respective instruments, with Rebecca and David having additionally lived and studied in both Edinburgh and the highlands of Scotland. Together, The Fire performs captivating Scottish music which bridges the gap between the fiddle and bagpipe music of Scotland—two worlds united, into a heartfelt and rousing musical experience. Between their entertaining and informative stage banter, vast array of instrument combinations and extensive repertoire, including everything from soaring slow airs to intricately arranged dance tunes, these charismatic performers will leave you on your feet with your hands together. The Fire has headlined at Celtic festivals such as The Pleasanton Scottish Highland Games, The Utah Scottish Association Highland Games, The Portland Highland Games, The Sedona Celtic Harvest Festival, The Northwest Folklife Festival, The Oregon Scottish Festival, The Yachats Celtic Music Festival, The Monterey Scottish Games and Celtic Festival, and has performed at a variety of venues throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland.
The Fire is currently based out of Santa Cruz, California, and has recorded two albums together.
