Attention friends and attendees of Celtic Music Night in Aptos, with regret, I have gotten too sick to host the event tonight, so sadly I must cancel– the arduous tour, little sleep, and cold temperatures did me in for now, so NO Celtic Music Night Tonight… Stay tuned for the next series in the coming months! The Admiral is Back!

Seasons greetings to all of you, friends of Celtic Music!
I hope your holiday cheer is building, and all is well with you!
Thank you all so much for being a part of our flourishing Celtic Music community, and especially to everyone who came out last week to Celtic Music Night in Aptos, and to Winterdance in Felton– it was such a treat to see you all enjoying yourselves to the music!
As promised in song and fable, The thunderous return  of  Celtic   Music   Night continues: The Winter Season– THIS TUESDAY NIGHT! (That’s Tomorrow night!), with a whole lot more fun Celtic Music to get you cheery for the holiday month ahead:
Tuesday December 6th, 7:00PM: Celtic Music Duo: The Disqualifiers:
Peter Haworth &  David Brewer– Songs & dance tunes, with bazouki, bagpipes, whistles & bodhran .  Concert & Jam Session!
Peter Haworth, also known as “The Admiral” co-founded the well known Celtic band Molly’s Revenge with David Brewer 16 years ago, and after three years of retirement from the band, Peter has teamed up with David once again, this time as a duo, to deliver their own mischievous take on a Celtic music concert. Pete hails originally from northern England, and has played folk music his whole life, and is as versed in songs from the tradition as he is accompanying bagpipes with his Irish bazouki (an instrument which could be described as a giant mandolin which you play like a guitar).
David Brewer is a multi-instrumentalist who has toured with the Scottish super-group The Old Blind Dogs, as well as with The Fire, and, Molly’s Revenge across the US, the UK, Canada, China, and Australia. He has been a special guest of the six-time Grammy winning group The Chieftains, and was a key musician for the sound track of the PBS documentary, “Andrew Jackson, Good, Evil, and the Presidency”. David is known for being animated and engaging on stage, primarily with the Scottish bagpipes.
Then a Field Trip: One last chance to catch the hit holiday show, Winterdance in the Bay area, at Trinity Cathdral, San Jose, Friday Dec. 9th, 7:00PM
Veterans of the Celtic folk world, Celtic band Molly’s Revenge has been touring the festival and performing-arts theater circuit continuously for 16 years running as one of the west coasts most active Celtic groups. Molly’s Revenge and special guest vocalist Christa Burch with Irish dancers will present an evening of music, song and dance associated with the festive season. The performance will include Christmas songs both old and new, all played with a Celtic twist, and something new for our regulars.  Guest vocalist Christa Burch possesses a singular voice: warm, supple, expressive, intimate, and instantly recognizable. Part of a vibrant new generation of American folk singers, Christa deftly marries intuitive musicianship and storytelling through song. To balance the gentle beauty of Christa’s songs, the Irish dancers will bring a percussive, joyful, and colorful exuberance to the stage.
As always, this 11th Annual Celtic Christmas Celebration will capture the traditional spirit of the season and warm the hearts of all who attend.
