Rebecca Lomnicky & David Brewer — An evening of Scottish music, with New Year & Scottish Hogmanay Celebration
That’s right folks, come on out to ring in the New Year with the original featured guest of Celtic Music Night, that kicked the whole thing off, and has dazzled us ever since! We’re taking a wee break from the arduous recording of our second duo CD which is underway currently, to bring you a sneak preview of our new material, and paving the way for our full length concerts coming right past the threshold of the New Year– see below….

Rebecca Lomnicky & David Brewer are a high energy pure-drop Scottish music duo, with world class fiddling talent in combination with bagpipes, guitar, bodhran, and whistle. International Scottish Fiddle Champion, Rebecca Lomnicky, and David Brewer of the popular Celtic band Molly’s Revenge, have each spent copious amounts of time delving into the traditions of their respective instruments, living and studying in both Edinburgh and the highlands of Scotland. Together they perform captivating Scottish music which bridges the gap between the fiddle and bagpipe music of Scotland–two worlds united, into a heartfelt and rousing musical experience. Between their entertaining and informative stage banter, varied instrument combinations, and vast repertoire of tunes and songs, including everything from soaring slow airs to intricately arranged dance tunes, these charismatic performers will leave you on your feet with your hands together.

Together, Rebecca Lomnicky and David Brewer have headlined at Celtic festivals such as The Utah Scottish Association Highland Games, The Portland Highland Games, The Sedona Celtic Harvest Festival, The Seattle Folklife Festival, The Oregon Scottish Festival, The Yachats Celtic Music Festival, The Monterey Scottish Games and Celtic Festival, The Payson Scottish Games, The Eugene Scottish Festival, and has performed at a variety of venues throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

And as is tradition, the evening will include a bagpipe procession, concert of music, Q&A with the group, complimentary refreshments, and an open Celtic music jam session with the players afterward, so bring your instruments, questions, and good vibes– and ALL of this is ALL ages, and ALL for a nominal donation of any size at the door. So grab your friends, family, instruments, and head out to Aptos tomorrow night for a good time the way nature intended!
See you there!!!
