Next Up…

Summer greetings my friends!

The summer festival touring is fully underway now, and though we still on the road back from Utah, worry not because Celtic Music Night at St. Andrew is ON for TOMORROW NIGHT!
You heard right! πŸ™‚ The Early Summer Series of Celtic Music Night continues this Tuesday, June 14th, and will run every Tuesday through June ending with the final of four in the series on June 28th, and every week will have a fabulous featured guest, concert of music, refreshments, and open Celtic music jam session!
Thanks a million to everyone who came out last week to welcome back Rebecca Lomnicky…what a crowd you’s were! And what a fabulous night!!! Rebecca greatly enjoyed seeing you all again, and very much appreciated all of your support and contributions, and hopes you are loving the cds! πŸ™‚

Next up: TOMORROW NIGHT: Tuesday June 14th, 7pm: Lady Doris, of the Bay area band Celtic Rose will be our featured guest, singing Celtic and Renaissance songs, accompanying herself on lute, and joined by Karl Franzen on guitar.
Lady Doris was born of a musical family in Flint, MI, car town. Her parents influence and love of the arts, as well as the gift of a lute as a surprise birthday present, inspired her to acquire her two music degrees in Vocal Performance, and Early Music. She has a CD, Celtic and Beyond, featuring Renaissance, Celtic, originals and sacred music, and her band Celtic Rose has been invited to many a Celtic Faire in the Bay Area.Come on down for a lovely evening tomorrow night, because really, what would life be with out a song? πŸ˜‰

Very excited to let you know about the Santa Cruz Scottish Renaissance Festival, this weekend, June 18th & 19th, at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds! scottishrenaissancefestival.org
I will be performing there with Glenfiddich fiddle champion Rebecca Lomnicky, and Peter Haworth from Molly’s Revenge, along with many other great musical acts such as The Tannahill Weavers, The Black Irish, Golden Bough, Innisfree, Lady Doris Williams, and more!
It’s going to be an amazing fun filled weekend– grab your friends and relations, and come on out to take part!!! We’ll see you there πŸ™‚

And just a reminder, you can still book a private lesson music or fiddle lesson with Rebecca!!

Rebecca Lomnicky will be offering limited One-Hour lesson slots by appointment at St. Andrew Church next week on Tuesday June 14th, and Thursday June 16th:

“Would you like to work on that bow triplet everyone already seems to know, or a new tune that you keep hearing? I can help you with fiddle technique from tricky bowings to specific Scottish-style ornamentation! I can teach you a traditional tune or a new composition… It’s up to you! Bring a some sort of tape or digital recorder because I will be teaching completely by ear. It’s the best way to learn traditional music! See you soon!” ~Rebecca

If you are interested in scheduling a lesson with Rebecca, please email me at pipeyspice@hotmail.com for more fee and times info.

And more to come at CMN this month for the Early Summer Series !

Tuesday June 21st, 7pm: Mary Mc Laughlin, Bruce Abrams, & Steve Coulter,
and
Tuesday June 28th, 7pm: Peat-Fire Flames with Shauna Picket-Gordon and Colyn Fischer!

CMN’s Summer Season will run every Tuesday through June…at 7pm! SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Thank you SO MUCH for your support of our wonderful Celtic music scene of Santa Cruz everyone! Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday! πŸ™‚
