Tales of Haggis and Pubs…

Hello my dear friends…Greetings from Scotland! I hope this new year has been treating you all well!

The roaming piper has returned from living in Edinburgh, and this means it’s time for the return of

Celtic Music Night at St. Andrew in Aptos!

That’s right folks; I cannot wait to share all of the experiences with you, through music and story, when I return this summer to Celtic Music Night at St. Andrew, of the many MANY adventures in Edinburgh, and around the sessions of Scotland, so mark your calendar for these dates now my friend:

ONE WEEK FROM TONIGHT!

Tuesday June 11, 7pm ‘Welcome David Brewer & Rebecca Lomnicky back from Scotland’ concert, joined by Peter Haworth, followed by open jam session.

International Scottish fiddle Champion Rebecca Lomnicky returns to Celtic Music night to delight you with exciting jigs and haunting slow airs, with a former and current member of the Celtic powerhouse Molly’s Revenge– singer/bazouki player Peter Haworth, and bagpiper extraordinaire David Brewer.

Our trio will also be performing all weekend at the Santa Cruz Scottish Festival on June 15th & 16th http://www.scottishrenaissancefestival.org/ and tickets will be for sale at Music Night. Rebecca Lomnicky and David Brewer duo will be performing at the Monterey Scottish Games on July 6th & 7th: http://www.montereyscotgames.com/

The attached picture is just a quick summary of some of the highlights of living in Scotland; and since each picture is worth 1000 words, imagine the stories that go with each one…. Come on down to Celtic Music Night next Tuesday, enjoy some music, and let’s catch up! As always, it’s a free concert open to all ages, but your donations keep them happening.

There will be free refreshments, and an open music jam session afterward, so invited your friends and neighbors and we’ll see you there at the lovely St Andrew Church: 9850 Monroe Ave. Aptos, CA 95063

I am so looking forward to walking in the sun on West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz and eating great California food like organic produce and Mexican food (rare in Scotland), as I’ve now had plenty of haggis and deep-fried mars bars, & an increased knowledge of scotch. The summer will be busy around the western states touring to perform at festivals & concerts with Rebecca Lomnicky, and Molly’s Revenge, so keep an eye on the schedule to follow were we’re at at: www.davidbrewermusic.com , We would love to see you at the shows this June & July! Come August though, I am very excited to announce that I have been invited to perform at two of the biggest festivals in Europe:  the International Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, as well as another international folk festival in Barcelona, Spain, so I will be returning to Europe this August for this major opportunity! More on that to come…so stay tuned, but rest assured I will be back to rock with Molly’s Revenge at the Pleasanton Scottish Games this Labor Day weekend! It’s all happening, so thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support. I look forward to seeing you all and catching up with you soon!
All the best,

David Brewer
